A primary motive could be HDFC\u2019s increasing focus on its core banking operations. By divesting a portion of its stake in HDB Finance, the bank can concentrate on expanding its retail and commercial lending businesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regulatory compliance can be another driving force. We hold around 94.8 percent stake. HDB is in the upper layer of NBFCs, which means it needs to be listed by September 2025 under regulatory guidelines. All possibilities will be evaluated to get to that end outcome, so we\u2019ll have to be patient.
